Our Background 
North Boone Fire Protection District #3 was officially formed in 1955. The goal and mission of the department has been to serve and protect the communities of Northern Boone County. The members of NBFD3 also live and work within our communities. Our citizens are also our families. The Fire District currently protects an approximate 65 square mile area that consists of approximately 12,000 people. After years of consideration, in 2015 the leadership team of NBFD3 made the decision to begin a full service ALS Ambulance. We are now operating the primary ambulance service for our Fire District and look forward to maintaining the highest quality service in all we do to serve our community. Our department members have always been dedicated to the service of our community and it shows, with many of our members having served for 20 years or more.
